November 11th! and more

As many people know, November 11th is Remembrance Day. We take time to remember and honor the brave men and women that have made the ultimate sacrifice. I have the priviledge to go to some crazy places to entertain these fine people - Rwanda, Haiti, Afghanistan (twice), even going to bases here in Canada Alert, Petatwawa, Trenton t name but a few. What I can say is yes it is important to have a day to honor these men and women - but we should honor and resect them everyday. In a time when children look up to athletes and entertainers that eventually get caught doing steroids, get nailed for drunk driving or worse as heroes I say we are always among heroes - they are called soldiers. When you see a soldier take the time to say hi, shake their hand and thank them. It is what they stand for that allows us to have the freedoms we sometimes take for granted.
