Living Large Indeed - and more thoughts

It has been a while since I blogged, since my last entry lots of cool and exciting things have gone on - where to start?
Let me begin by mentioning that I am a fan of THE HOUR on CBC. I really think that Strombo is one of the best interviewers out there, a fresh mix of funny, serious and able to capture and connect with audiences of all ages, when I grow up I hope I'm like him. Well it was brought to my attention by a few people (Trevor B was indeed the 1st - props are in order), that for the 250th Anniversary of Guiness, the show was live from Ireland, and one of his guests that night was funny man Tommy Tiernan. Watch for yourselves as the Tommy part of the interview made me tear up a bit - a brother in arms indeed.

Then there was the night of October 4th the night I taped my first DVD (also my brother's birthday). It could not have gone better and am excited to see the finished project and start to sell them. FYI a portion of every DVD sold will go back to the charity that is now in my name, we even have a new website www.joeyeliascharity.com
The night could not have gone better. Many thanks to Peter Robitaille from the Just For Laughs group, Ken Doran Jr. and his harem of volunteers to many to mention. CJAD's Andrew Carter and CHOM's Rob Kemp hosted and were incredible. The opening acts Christophe Davidson, Ali Hassan and Dan Bingham all rocked the amazing crowd - and the house band The Fundamentals added an element of class to make the evening that much better. Did I mention my beautiful girlfriend that kept checking in to make sure I was okay - you should all know with her beside me I'm always great!
Also in that time the season of Rescue Me finished - crazy!!! It keeps getting better and better, can't wait for the next season to start already - I hope the people that vote for the Emmy's wake up and realize how good the writers and Dennis Leary as Tommy Gavin are and they should indeed be rewarded.
