Mother Nature getting no love this Feb 14th
|
So here we are Valentine's Day 2009 and the weather today in Montreal is a balmy -15C with the wind chill. I can't put it any other way except Mother Nature, what a bitch, tease - why do you mock me?
See earlier in the week it got warm, warm for this time of year anyway and I was all excited it felt like spring - early spring sans the aroma of thawing dog crap throughout the city. But then Mother Nature reared her ugly head and brought on the cold again. I want to blame the groundhog but he probably leaves in fear of MN (mother nature) seeing how she feeds him most of the year when he isn't being held captive by creepy people in odd looking outfits telling him his shadow has or hasn't been seen. Why can't MN just curl up with someone and emit the heat that she is feeling. Why do I care so much - the cold you see brings out the weirdest actions out of people.
Example - Montreal year after year gets a lot of snow, but somehow after the first big snowfall the city says its snow removal budget has been blown. IDIOTS! If I was in charge I would set aside 3 billion dollars for snow removal and then when I ony spent 1 billion I look like a financial wizard by saving 2 billion!
Anyway that is my rant - and I hope all of you have a great, warm valentine's with the person you most want to be with.
