My Latest Travels

I was going to write about my trip, but with the news of my comedic hero George Carlin - I now write about my home away from home Sudbury, Ontario. As many of you who know me or have read my blogs in the past I adore the city of Sudbury and the people there.
I went up to take part in my friend Brian Savage's annual Golf tournament that raises money that will go to the Ten Rainbows Foundation (google it). again the tournament was a huge success, kudos to Brian his committee and Claudio and his staff from the Ten Rainbows for again putting on a first class event - even with the rain - the day was lots of fun and I will be there again next year.
the following week i was off to New York City with my travelling companion A.C. - I have always dreamed of living there and maybe sooner than later I will live out that fantasy. What a vibrant city - Central Park Zoo, Times Square, St. Andrew's Pub all highlights but there are a few very memorable moments.
We went to Ground Zero - they are building the monument there now so it is a giant construction site, but there is a firehouse beside the site and on the wall they have an incredible monument to the men and women that bravely gave their lives that terrible day. St. Paul's Chapel is right across the street from ground zero and it is an amazing thing to see - it is the oldest building in NYC still in use - and a museum to 9/11 is there - too emotional to get into details but if you are in nYC this is a must see. From there we went up to fifth ave to try and get some shopping in - to our surprise we walked into the middle of the Gay Pride Parade - 4 hours long and so many people!!!
But seeing old friends David Bly and Rescue Me's Adam Ferrara finished off a great trip.
