As you know I am currently on the Just for Laughs Cross Canada Tour. I must admit I feel a little like a rookie in the Montreal Canadiens dressing room circa the 1950s. I see my name on the line-up next to names like Tiernan, Caparulo, David, Proops, Nutt - really it feels like my jersey is hanging next to names like Richard, Beliveau, Geoffrion and Plante. (and no Robbie that does not make you Toe Blake!) We started in Newfoundland, then to Moncton, Charlottetown, Halifax, Montreal, Toronto, Hamilton, London, Ottawa and am currently in Thunder Bay. Actually stuck here in the North as there was a problem with the ILS at the airport and flights weren't coming in or leaving, hey what's the rush to get to Saskatoon, no offense to those in Sask. but there is 4 inches of snow and is cold. Also I hear there is only dial-up internet connection, and by dial up I mean you hook up through a rotary phone. (anyone born after 1980 go ask your parents what I'm talking about). The shows have all been incredible, the hotels are all really nice! Except the Ottawa stop where the hotel was hijacked by Debbie Travis and some TV show she does, who is she and how good a show can it be if its being filmed in an alley in Ottawa on a Sunday? Also the water pressure in my shower; small animals urinate with more pressure. I can't name the hotel for fear of a lawsuit, but I can tell you its on Slater street, and fill in the blank - Noah built an _____!!! But all in all this is too much fun, hope it never ends. Good people, great shows, getting treated like royalty; oh the planes are up and running again gotta go Saskatoon beckons. Will post again soon, Keep laughing Joey |
