The Olympic "Sweet" Dream(s)

So the Winter Games are one week old, and I am wondering does anyone care about these "games" anymore? Other than hockey, everything is just so boring. Curling aka the best remedy for insomnia, speed skating, anything but fast they skate 9000 laps around an oval, when I think speed I think 5 minute races. Biatholon? Maybe the biatholon should go through the curling venue and they have to pick off a curler, extra points if they nail the skip.
I also love the fact in Canada in order to support our athletes with the necessary monies needed to train and compete we the general public, have to eat at fast food restaurants. So let me get this straight, they go for the gold and we get fat and get dieseased - sounds fair. Nothing like eating a happy meal so our athletes can finish in 8th (see Wotherspoon also choker).
Also Ethiopia has an Olympian. Correct me if I am wrong, but haven't they been hungry for the past 150 years or so. I picture the Unicef guy giving a child a bag of rice and some water, but the kid replies this is nice but what I really want is a sled. When did Ethiopia ever get snow, if they have gotten some can you say Kyoto Accord?
How do you grow up as a child and decide you want to become a luger?
Also how in the world do you have an incredible wipe out in figure skating and still win the silver - Chinese team. For the love of ... she used her vagina as a zamboni and for that they were rewarded with a medal? Maybe it was deemed a kind gesture to their fellow competitors by cleaning the ice for them after their twirl around the rink.
Also Yoko Ono? She reads poetry like she sings, off beat, off tune a real talent to motivate the athletes to strive "higher, faster, swifter".
Well I am a little fatigued after typing this entry, so I think I'll go turn on the games, curling is on, I should be asleep in no time
