What a great show Wednesday night at Bourbon Street West. The Red Cross sold tickets with proceeds going to help out with the relief efforts overseas due to the tsunami. I emceed, and Phil Shuchat, Massimo, Ricky Maybee and headliner Dave Russo from Boston were all on the bill. Mr. Russo received a standing ovation upon the completion of his set. What we locals might have failed to mention to Dave Russo from Boston, is the patrons are "shooter" friendly. "Shooter"of the alchoholic kind, poor guy, tequila and tabasco, gross. So kudos to the Red Cross volunteers, the staff at Bourbon Street West and all the performers, and patrons - what a great time for a great cause.
